Artisan works have always been valued for their artistic merit. Beautifully made jewelry and handbags not only can complete an outfit, but one-of-kind items often stand the test of time. I think that most of the accessories coming out of mass-production are too trendy and cheap to last for more than a season. Beautifully made things can last a lifetime.

An artisan crafts a genuine art by hand and it is typically unique. The skill is tested and often times illustrates the craftsmanship. It cannot be duplicated easily.
