Tingly sensation, almost burning, not pain but a strange sensation just above the pubic bone. It started a few days ago, about 10cm higher and further right and moved down and to the centre since. Also, the urge to go to the toilet more often than usual. What does that mean? And what should I do about it? Thanks.

It sounds like you have a urinary tract infection. These can be cured without the doctor, drink lots of water and cranberry juice. If symptoms worsen or you start to feel pain, then go to the doctor.

If it was an exterior sensation I'd say perhaps it would pass, but since it requires increased body excretion, I would not take any chances. You might consider going to your gynecologist if you believe it is a female problem, or a urologist if you think it is an excretory/urinary problem, either way, listen to your body, and do something immediately. Take care and God bless.

symptoms as such would to me invite little question.sounds to me as if you may be experiencing the onset of genital herpes. the little beggars are known to lie dormant until aggravated.A virus that lives in every human until aroused the virus can show up in the most peculiar places, like even on the back of your thigh,.. as it follows the nerves linings and can exit at most any place on your body.see a doctor ,read up on it and by all means stay calm and without worry as the symptoms worsen with stress....

these may be symptoms of urinary tract infection.in this condition one has to get following lab investigations done
1.urine microscopic examination-if it shows pus cells>5 per high power field(in a non pregnant woman) then
2.urine for culture and antibiotic sensitivity-this will show which agent is responsible for urinary infection as well as indicate which antibiotic will be effective-and then take proper course of antibiotic and drink plenty of water and fluides unless you are advised to restrict your water intake.
