the car is jumpy and jerking and then it cuts out like it got choked out does anyone know what this could be

1994 ford explorer it did it when i went to go home from work last night it was herky jerky each time i was at a red light and twice it cut out completely

If you have a mass airflow sensor (bolted to the air filter housing and clamped to the large air pipe going to the engine), unplug it and drive the vehicle. If the concern is gone, it may need to be replaced.

could be the fuel filter, try some fuel additive to clean out the fuel injectors.. also may be the electronic control module. There are so many sensors and electronics anymore it can be hard to tell...

Could be a clogged fuel filter or bad gas, such as water in the gas.Take it to a mechanic, its most likely something simple.

could be oil filter, or it might be the gaps in the spark plugs and the spark plug leads or a blockage in the fuel line.
Get it checked out
