For a 21 years old, sex should come as an excitement, but if you are scared, it could be not due to your being a virgin but you are scared of illegal pregnancy without being married; or else you do not know the person very well with whom you are going to have sex. For a fully grown woman sex is a heavenly pleasure, and if it is the first experience, it will indeed an unforgettable event in your life, provided you do not have any feeling of guilt.

No, it's definitely normal - think of all of the things that could happen as a result of sex.

1) STD's while some a curable, other are not. This is a huge risk and could be a life long consequence you would have to live with.

2) Of course pregnancy. This is a huge deal and a lifelong commitment.

3) Emotional attachment and disappointment. You could get your heart broken, emotionally attached to someone who does not feel the some way, etc.

Of course there are more negatives to sex that would and probably keep you away from sex. You are very smart you staying away from sex. The pressures of sex are very high right now and the fact that you can hold on to your virginity is impressive. There is nothing at all wrong with you - I wish more people in the world were like you. You just wait until you are ready (preferably when you are married) and things will fall in place for you.

Have a great day!
