What is the pain that you make while sheltering a clandestine? Why do we speak of struggle against poverty if one hates a part of the humans so much? Sorry

Your question is so confusingly worded that I am going to inerpret some things.

I just can't figure the first part, about the clandestine, but the second part is loud and clear - I think. LOL

What we have in the Western world is a bizarre combination of compassion and avarice. The minority of powerful and wealthy that control most aspects of decision-making life seem to genuinely not care about the affect and impact of their choices on humanity. That's the hate. They make policies and decisions that not only interfere with a certain quality of life, a definate level of comfort. They make policies that supposedly better business, but actually better profit.

Interestingly, there is another contingent of people who are neither powerful nor have any kind of voice, who are often the victims of the first class of people, and these victims actually uphold the policies, and defend the decisions that the wealthy and powerful make. It's so weird!

Are you young? There was this girl back in the 1970s named Patty Hearst. She was kidnapped by a group of people called the PLA. In that time they convinced her to commit terrorist acts in the name of their cause. Even though she was their hostage, she became a willing participant in their cause. She developed what is called Stockholm Syndrome because of the intense, yet mostly subtle, brainwashing they put her through.

I tell you about Patty Hearst because I believe that to an extent, many Westerners are caught up in a diluted version of this Stockholm Syndrome, where they go along with the rich and powerful, even to the point where they come to HATE other victims.

Here on the Yahoo! Answers board you can see it at work. How many Americans speak forcefully to end illegal immigration?! They are so furious at these so-called illegals for coming into the US and stealing jobs, services, aid, and other freedoms. Nevermind that the najority of the illlegal immigrants never have access to those things. Nevermind that the jobs the illegals take are not official jobs that legal citizens would have an option to work, nor would the legal citizen WANT those jobs because they are horribly exploitative! THAT'S WHY the employer hires ILlegal workers in the first place!

What's the solution? I wish I knew. Patty Hearst spent years in therapy working to UNdo what her kidnappers had done. She seems to be living a relatively normal life now (for a rich heiress, that is) but who can say for sure what happens inside the walls of her home? And since this expanded and diluted Stockholm Affect that has so many Americans caught up in hating and anger and attacking the weak doesn't seem to be letting, nor finding a way out of that mind-set, I guess only he future can answer that question.

So I will applaud your second question. Very well done. I wish I could have undertood the first part and taken a crack at it, also.

We believe in free speech so of course you may speak to us (the western???) Who is the clendestine? Poverty kills when there is enough food in the world tofeed. Which part of humans are we supposed to hate - the stomach?? Maybe if you explained a little better we would understand!

ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH YOU

There is too much separation and hoggishness.

Dog in the manger like, we think we can keep the wealth we have and let the world go hang. We have a little collection and give out a few coppers, put on a wrist band or red nose, and feel good about ouselves.

Don't forget the other size of the story that some rich people have companies that create many jobs. Without those jobs, there will be more people suffering by poverty.

We are all individuals, to put us into to boxes, by religion, country, and to define them in simple terms is to dehumanize. Humanity is the individual act of kindness, that transends religion politics and culture, we all need to seek our indiviual identity for the common good of mankind. Ask youself does it feel better to help a fellow human being in need, or to act in anger against a perceived wrong doing?
