Wall Street in New York

It started out where investers met at an oak tree... The people wanting to sell parts of their company or offers to buy would nail a notice of sale/offer paper to the tree and the folks that were looking to make an investment would show up and look at the postings. they would swap at the tree... When the tree had very few postings, it was 'Bare' which became known as a Bear Market, when it was full of 'Bullitens' it was known as a 'Bull Market'
