Hot dog sizes are not standard. They vary from brand to brand and with temperature.
If you approximate them as being 4" long by an inch in diameter, then they have a footprint of about 4 square inches.
A 12 by 23 ft floor is also a 12(*12) by 23(*12) inch floor,
or
39744 square inches.
Dividing that by 4 square inches per hot-dog gives
9936 hot dogs
At ten hot dogs per pack that gives
994 packs of hot dogs.
At a buck per pack that gives
$994 dollars.
You might be able to contact a hot-dog manufacturer and get a break. Buying from OEM usually cuts the price in half, so you MIGHT be able to get them for $497

My dogs measure 6 sq in. I figure with the floor at 39,744 sq. in. I need 6,624 hot dogs.
'course, you could use less if you had foot longs. :p
