I would be surprised if they did. They like domestic spying and holding people without trial or bail, and torture--all prohibited by the former United States Constitution, so why would they possibly support freedom of speech?

I don't know what hole you've been hiding in, but it seems all of the protests they show on the news are left-wingers. As long as you aren't violating the laws of the community or endangering others with your lamebrained protests you're allowed to whine and cry as much as you wish. Do a little investigating, what happens to anti-government protesters in other countries? I may not agree with your viewpoint, but I have defended your right to say it! Can you say the same?

Isn't it ironic how we're always "fighting for democracy" yet we don't allow voices of dissent in our own country? Bush has worked to create a cult of personality around himself in which dissenting voices are silenced and he is constantly surrounded by yes-men. Everyone needs to stand up for free speech. Maybe those on the right should look up from the 2nd Amendment for a second and realize the importance of protecting the 1st.

Sure, and you want Janet Reno tried for murder of the Branch Davidians, and violating the Court order to leave Elan Gonzales with his family in Miami until the trial, right?
And isn't it weird that they were arrested but not the protesters who were trespassing on privet property (not Bush's) at "Camp Casey" near Bush's ranch?

Sure they have that right.Untill they burn the flag, then they need to be shot on site.
Dunno whats going on with Bush, but I know Cheney and Rumsfield has taken on hecklers before, and as others have said, i also think there is a time and place for it.Most the times when they protest instead of making a point they just look ridiculous,..see Cindy Sheehan for this..

Only one side of the story is explained via that link.

I can also show several dozen links of some extremely vile protests where not a single arrest was made.

This " right winger " supports all your constitutional rights and the responsibilities that come with them .

I suggest you read the " Bill Of Rights " . It plainly spells things out for you .

I respect dissent, I do not support treasonous activity such as publishing secrets or telling the world who is buying our armaments. I do not believe the constitution is a suicide pact.

"right-wingers" understand there is a time and a place to voice their dissension. left-wingers are guilty of bad timing and poor judgment in my opinion and come across as kooks who just want to draw attention to themselves and not the issue.

No, according to them we don't have any rights. They have taken away several Constitutional rights away from us already. What's to stop them from doing away with the Constitution altogether?
