You have to wonder when there are so many women who intentionally date abusers and cheaters, and defend it because "he's a bad boy".

You really do have to wonder don't you. I think it is lack of self esteem and the desire to NOT be alone at any cost. It is sad - we should empower our young girls to know what is right and wrong in a relationship and to not need a relationship to define them, only to enhance them. Little girls need to be taught that they are everything that they need and a relationship is only icing on the cake, not necessary but good.

Respect matters to everyone, unless they're self destructive and don't care about themselves. People don't intentionally date someone that is bad for them. Some people are great manipulaters and make themselves out to be nice and then show their true colors, after a person develops feelings for them. Yes, some women are attracted to that bad boy image but that's just what it is...an image - when they're together, that's different. A true bad boy is not going to keep a woman, nor would he be satisfied with just 1 woman.

And why wouldn't it matter to a woman to be respected??? Don't you like to be respected??? You don't always know when you first start dating someone that they are a cheater or an abuser, but somehow maybe sometimes you stay with that person thinking that somehow it will get better.

Yes...yes does matter to women...as it should to anyone else. The women who date abusers are just to weak to realise that there are ways to be strong. Do men need respect? yes. They are the abusers that abuse the weak women. How can you do that to anyone without being seriously out of line mentally on the food chain?
