Reese has a couple of class 3 hitches available for the Xterra for under 200$, and a couple of wiring harnesses that will plug in either behind a taillight or under the bumper on the right side, that you will also need for towing. As far as capacity, your Xterra has a 5000lb towing capacity, greater than the GVWR of every pop-up I have ever seen.

That SUV has enough power and towing capabilities.
And pop-ups usually don't weigh but 2-3 thousand pounds

It should with no problem I've got a chev. tracker and I pull a pop-up that has a 10' box loaded
