Which browser is better?

There are a few browser to select. I do not know which is better. Which browser runs better as in smoother and faster? Firefox, Avant Browser, IE or Opera? Any advise?

The available browsers in the Market are IE, Mozilla Firefox, Opera 9 and Netscape Navigator.....IE is good since it is best compatiable for Windows but till this date after using so many Browser I feel that the Mozilla Firefox is the best. Firefox and Opera both have the tabbed browsing option but where firefox stands is the clarity of fonts and the easy viewing of the page. If you look vary carefully you will notice that Opera looks as if always in a race of fitting things in a page. IE has several problems in their update and those authentication notices really are frustrating. It is the most vulnerable browser to all viruses.
The most important thing in Mozilla is the Tabbed browsing which they are pioneers in. You can view many websites using one window thus resources shared from the system is very less compared to that of IE and Netscape. The Mozilla engine is terrific thus blocking out all the POP ups and malicious file links.
Use mozilla and you are near about free from the Virus attacks.

All of this and still the installer size is the smallest of all. No High memory usage issues like Firefox.

As they are all free to download, seriously why not try them all? I mostly use Firefox and Deepnet Explorer on my PCs but I recently got a tablet pc and I stick to internet explorer on that. Opera is a cool browser too (for a long time it was my default) and apart from Avant (also excellent), I 've used Slim browser. and Maxthon. Firefox has the advantage of its many extensions and themes but I have found it prone to the odd crash; but the benefits outweigh the disadvatages for me. As the browser is your interface to the web it's always going to be a highly individual choice. Just choose one that suits you, not one that's "hip" at the moment. Good luck.
