I once heard this saying:
"If you are born poor, it's your parents' fault. If you die poor, it's ALL your fault!"
In short, your destiny is in your hands, and you shouldn't blame anyone else, least of all, globalization, for where you are today.
Globalization simply means that markets are becoming more open than they were ever before. Both poor and rich countries have BIGGER TRADE OPPORTUNITIES presented to them because of globalization, and it is up to those nations to take advantage of these opportunities.
Is it fair? Not really. Rich nations have barriers to trade such as farm subsidies, while poor nations can't even subsidize education. But again, reality isn't fair, and if that works against you then you just have to work harder compared to the other person.
My country, the Philippines, is a third-world country and is considered poor (normal wages is about $6 per day!). But then again, there are citizens in our country who started out very poor and have become multi-millionaires in dollar terms. One of our current senators started out as a fish vendor and is now the richest person in our entire government. Did globalization have any major impact on that person's life? I think not.
If the poor are getting poorer, it's because they are too lazy to put in the time and effort to improve themselves. As for the rich, maybe you ought to devote some time teaching your poor brethren how to be successful (instead of giving charity).
Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

The Rich Get Richer And The Poor Get Left .an interesting point made by Isaak: Left on their own without resources or assets, the poor will continue to be the poor, which he defines as “those without the income or assets to satisfy their own households’ basic human needs, such as food, water, shelter, energy, education and medical treatment.” And with globalisation showing no signs of slowing down, chances are the poor will remain in the poverty rut and their situation will only worsen.
globalisation has brought many positive effects it has also made the world increasingly plutocratic, and further widened the chasm between the rich and the poor

Not true. In many cases, persons in other countries have some hope for employment and live much better because of globablization. Of course, I'm sure, most of the money goes to other rich people in other countries as you pointed out, but not all of it. It would be better if employers paid better than subsistence wages, but hey, they try not to here in the USA too, while a CEO can make 9 figures and pay minimum wage. Wether or not this is responsible is largely up to the CEO, whose ethics you can question if you want. I do.

You know the old saying, "The more things change, the more they stay the same". Meaning fundamental inequalities will never be resolved. The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting kicked in the b***.

No. Everyone benefit from globalization. The pie is getting bigger. Anyone who is hired aboard to work make much more money. Companies can hire more people, so it's not only benefiting the rich.

Excuse me, but are you not aware of the standard of living that America's poor and downtrodden experience? Even without a job, they enjoy a roof over their head, carpeted floors, A/C, food (without farming), cell phones and cable TV.
One 'symptom' of globalization is that everyone's standard of living gets better.
Go peddle your brand of non-realistic socialism to someone stupid enough to buy...
