Why lets us know that we have free will, that part of being human and probably separates us from all animals. That ability to ask the question has advanced civilization, for good or not is a matter of speculation, and there again is the why or why not. Keep asking why and question every thing.

I'd say, "because we can." We can make a difference on the planet, we can uplift people, we can create a ripple of kindness, we can add our voices to the chorus, we have potential to create heaven, we have the ability to make dreams come true. So the question now becomes...When? :-)
