A doctor or cardiologist will ensure that a patient is given the correct treament and medications that will not place the patients wellbeing into further jeopardy. If one medication has a negative side-effect then there is often another medication to counteract this. So worse case scenario you are on many medications, but if the side effect of that is preservation of life, I would go for it!
