Be patient. All babies DO come out. Your body and your baby will know when it is time. Trust in your body.
I wouldn't suggest that you try any "home induction methods" unless you are to the point of trying to avoid a medical induction.
Go get a massage (especially if you can find someone who does cranial sacral therapy) or a chiropractic adjustment. These things will make you more comfortable now, put your body in balance and will also make labor easier when it comes.
Pelvic rocking can also help to make you more comfortable as well as it will encourage baby into a good position.
Go get your hair cut or get your nails done, whatever makes you feel better. You won't have time for it once the baby is here. Babies are much easier to care for when they are still in the womb.
If you are *at least* 37 weeks, you can start using evening primrose oil (EPO) to ripen your cervix. This will not induce labor but will help to get your body ready for labor. Take 2 capsules and insert them up near your cervix before bed each night. If you want, you can prick them with a pin and try to squeeze the oil out and rub it in up around your cervix.
Having sex has a couple of possible benefits. Semen will help to ripen your cervix. Orgasm can bring on contractions which. if your body is ready, could turn into labor.
NOTHING WILL WORK if your body and your baby are not ready. You will just frustrate yourself. Try to relax and enjoy these last wiggles and kicks and time alone with your partner.
(DO NOT cause castor oil. It will give you uncomfortable cramps and make you run to the bathroom. It might or might not bring on labor. It can also cause baby to pass his first stool in the womb which can be dangerous.)

I used nipple stimulation to assist bring about my hard artwork. I did it the day in the previous my due date although, so it ought to've in basic terms been time for me. besides, I in basic terms have been given my pump out and pumped for fifteen minutes on the two part for an hour, took an hour ruin, and then did it lower back. I had ordinary contractions all that day and evening, and had my infant the subsequent afternoon so i'm assuming that's what worked for me. the only hazards are in case you do it too plenty and push a mass quantity of pitocin (that's what you're doing with nipple stimulation, liberating your organic pitocin, or it ought to be oxytocin, in the blood pass) your contractions may be the comparable as though your well-known practitioner or midwife shot you up with alot of the artifical drug. The effect could be a variety of of discomfort on your end, despite if it won't reason harm to the newborn.
