I think it is some what yes.

The main thing that Indian bowlers are lagging in the bowling department. The batsmen are doing their job in most of the occations as there is a mixture of seniority and youth.but where as the bowling department does nothave the experience except that Harbhajan has some. This is the time that the new commers should learn many things from the seniors. The main thing that the Indian team did not took him is that the fielding of Kumble. I do agree that "Catches win Matches" but what will one do if either of Yuvraj, Kaif or Raina leaves a catch. So the same oppurtunity should given to him also.

Kumbles exclusion from the indian team will definetly affect the indian teams chance in the world cup. If india wants to win the world cup well balanced team is necessary and kumble must be part of the well balanced team. India does need a good bowler such as kumble in the team.

first of all indian didnt have a chance in the world cup any ways...b it with or without anil.secondly i dont think india would have played kumble in the one dayers...they have hesitated to play him in te ODIs in the recent past...therefore i font think that this decision is gonna effect their WC performance....but the test match performance might get het if he s excluded from the test side

i wont think kumble's exclusion from the team will affect our chances of winning bcoz we already having different tallented players such as pathan,dhoni,raina etc.the worldcup will commence in the year of 2007 so by the time every player gets little experienced so we have a great chance of winning no doudt at all
