La Belle Province is a fantastic diner. If you drop in, have a steamie hotdog all-dressed for me. God I miss those. When I was pregnant I lived on those suckers. You can find them all over Montreal.

If you're looking for something fancy, I'd recommend Restaurant du Vieux Port. I had a company dinner there once, and the food was amazing.

If you like buffet style restaurants, La Stanza is awesome as well. Their evening meals have incredible french cuisine, as well as other dishes that you simply must try.

Well, my favourite thing to eat in Montreal is smoked meat (as well as the bagels) and I think the restaurant that has the best smoked meat is Reuben's. I have had the smoked meat at Ben's and at Schwarz's but the best value for your dollar, I think, is Reuben's. It would not be a trip to Montreal if I did not stop in at Reuben's!

PANAMA

Its Greek food reminds me of a Greek tavern...very authentic!

I would like to add Hot & Spicy...best Schezuan in town if you like "Americanized" Asian food.

Baton Rouge is also on the top of my list. Everything from the ribs to the chicken are fabulous!

As for all you can eat (other than Hot and Spicy) I would go with Kim Kwok in Ville St-Laurent, accross Bombardier.

Dunn's has the finest Smoked Meat sandwiches in town. Their mustard will clear your sinuses all the way to the back of your head, and the fries are to die for.

Prices are reasonable and it has a wonderful patio in the summertime.
