It depends on where the oil leak is coming from and what bike you have. Shift shafts, kick start and countershafts (front sprocket) need new seals. Side covers, oil pans and cylinders need new gaskets. Some Jap bikes don't use gaskets in some places like oil pans and clutch covers. Just sealant. Also the covers or cases could have cracks.
To find where the leak is coming from, clean the area where the leak is until it looks spotless and brand new. Sprinkle some white baby powder in the area and run your bike. The oil will stick to the baby powder and show up easier.

you repair it with new o rings and/or new gaskets! you always soak the gasket/o ring in the fluid that it is in. (such as in oil if it is oil pan gasket) IF IT IS THE HEADGASKET IT GOES ON DRY
