Most women's cycles are 28 days. Some are more or less by a few days. Its easier to work out when you are ovulating on a 28 day cycle, but still possible if your cycle is different.
Day 1 - Is the first day of your period
Day 14 - Is usually the day you ovulate
When women are ovulating, some feel more aroused than usual, the can be some slight pains (similar to period pain) or lower backache. Most women usually have a clear light discharge.
So just before 14 days after your period begins buy an ovulation kit from your local pharmacy, you get about three in a pack and every day you take the test (it's like a pregnancy test, very simple to use.) When you are ovulating the test will show positive and it's best to have sex pretty much right then and there! Although the egg can hang around waiting for the sperm for up to a couple of days.
Record the dates of your periods and after a few months you will be able to see exactly how long your cycle is, mine was 33 days and I would ovulate on day 18, so it can be different for different women. I have heard the best time to get pregnant is in the morning and also with the male on top, it supposed to be more likely for conception if the woman has an orgasm.
Good Luck , I hope it all works well for you. Have fun trying!

Count 14 days after the first day of your last period. For instance, if your period started July 1, then you would be ovulating on July 14th, providing that you're "on schedule." Have intercourse on July 13, 14, and 15 to try to hit your ovulation time. You could also buy an ovulation kit. It takes your temp every day and when your temp is slightly higher than normal, you're ovulating. You can also visit www.peeonastick.com for ovulation and fertility info/tips. Best of luck!

It is supposed to be 14 days after the start of your period, if you have a 28 day cycle. So essentially when you period starts you count out 14 days and should do it around that time. I hope it works out for you!

if you have a regular 28 day cycle it is usually around day 14, but not everyone is regular. Use a site like these to help you track your fertility as well as use basal body temp and cervical mucus to help know when you ovulate. Good luck!
