Take an antihistamine such as benadril. I have to do that due to slight allergy to stings. I will swell up bad if I don't take it after I get stung.

You don't have an allergic reaction do you? stings usually contain poison that some people are allergic to. These can make giant boils and swelling pop up everywhere, it can even constrict breathing. If you suspect you do, better safe than sorry and go to a doctor's to get it checked out. If you aren't allergic, don't do wash cloths. Water will seep into the swelling and just make it worse. Dry it out gently and then use icepacks wrapped in paper towel. If you want, rub some aloe over it afterwards so it isn't so dry. good luck! :D

Avoid further stings

Get the stinger out quickly

Apply a cold compress (frozen peas or an ice pack or something similar)

Antihistamine and simple pain relief medications can help if you are able to take them

If the swelling is that bad...sounds like you are having an alergic reaction. Best advice to you is to go get it looked at. Chances are you need some cortizone and benadryl. If your alergic to bee stings...you could swell to the point of not breathing.

mix up baking soda and water to a paiste, I have been doing this since I was a kid and also benedryl to help with itching or burning. Make sure the stinger is out if its not try to get it out and if you cannot go to hospital or dr. office if they are open. Good Luck, it only hurts for a little bit if you use baking soda.
