How PCI Express Slot is better than Conventional AGP Slots on Motherboards?

It is faster and it enables you to install dual graphics cards either using ATi Crossfire or nVidia SLi for extra graphics power. Two mid-range cards over either of those solutions will outperform much more expensive high-end cards for about half the price (based on model of course).

Then there is also the fact that all new graphics cards are coming out on PCIe only so if you want the latest and greatest you will have to get a PCIe slot.
