I did see an article that you can use a sheet of clear plastic clingfilm suspended by rocks a couple of inches from the ground; then you place a pebble in the middle of the sheet to create a dip, and then underneath the pebble (on the ground) you put a cup to catch the water. The sun on the clingfilm is supposed to draw any moisture out of the ground whch runs down the clingfilm and into the cup. You have to keep moving it to different parts of the ground as there is only so much moisture in each place.

Dig a hole in the ground and put a container inside. Cover with a plastic sheet weighted around the edge and with a stone in the middle to form a 'dip' and leave overnight. Condensation should form and drip into the container. I don't think this would produce very much, but anything is better than nothing, I suppose!

You would need a laboratory to do that with very expensive equipment that poor people couldn't afford. That's why it's not a common thing already. Desalinization is an expensive process as well and also not in widespread use yet but it's growing in popularity.

Just burn hydrogen. The hydrogen chemically combines with the hydrogen to produce water. But BEWARE it is very explosive and should only be done under controlled conditions. Remember the airship the Hindenburg exploding and catching on fire? It was filled with hydrogen and caught on fire/exploded.

Large containers covered in plastic sheets. This produces condensation which will then be trapped in the containers. You don't get much though!
