In order to be a licenced social worker you will have to major in Social Work. It will be better if after your Bachelor degree (BSW) you get your Master (MSW) because you will have more opportunities finding a job, and wil have a better pay. Then you can specialize in any area that you like: geriatrics, alcohol and other drugs, foster care and adoption, school social work, etc. Know that (sadly) social workers are not paid that well, so if you feel that you are meant to be a social worker then continue toward your goal. But if you really think that a more financially rewarded job is for you then stick with law (I think lawyers receive a better pay). Good luck with whatever you decide.
