I watched about five minutes of the first Big Brother and have never watched it since, nor any of the other so called "reality" shows because there is nothing 'real' about them - they are so false it is sick-making. What it 'real' about being on a "Love Island" or marooned on some island in the middle of no-where and how many normal people in real life would live in a BB type of house?

No, I believe there are millions of sensible people out there who do not watch reality TV, just like you.

There are a few shows that I have watched but I'm really not into it. They are all copying off of each other and some think they are coming up with something original but then it's just something even more stupid added to something that has already been done.

Those shows and the contests like American Idol, etc are just annoying. Most people are getting their 15 min of fame while trying to attain celebrity status.

It only works for a few people.

I simply cannot abide by a situation involving, among the actual participants from all walks of life, a national network TV crew.
I am a compassionate human being and fully aware that we do indeed perceive the world as we perceive ourselves. I am hard pressed to believe that These "uninvolved" observers would stand idly by while watching and documenting others in seemingly life threatening situations.

I'm not totally into it, I think its pretty stupid how they keep making more shows, although I do watch some of; reality tv shouldn't count the talent shows like American Idol. But the competition shows like Survivor, or Amazing Race.

No.
I have watched BB for about five minutes once. Life is too short to waste on such mindless drivel. I avoid other 'reality' progs like the plague.
It is worrying and quite sad that so many people find it compelling viewing.
