Vancouver is in the province of British Columbia, in Canada. There is a Vancouver in the state of Washington, in the USA. But Vancouver, Canada, isn't part of the USA. Never has been, never will be.

There IS a Vancouver in Washington state on the west coast of the US.
But the primary Vancouver, the one in Canada ... by the way, CANADA is a country, NOT a part of the US .... is in the province of British Columbia in Canada, on the west coast.
It is a major Canadian City, and a great place to live.
