how do you calcluate the point opposite me on the planet? if I were to drill a hole through the center of the earth where would it come out on the other side?

After finding lat/long of your position with GPS you can calculate the anitipod. But if you drill a hole throuhg the center of the earth it may differ.

This would take a bit of doing. You would have to take the longitude and the latitude and figure the opposite of it.
