The quickest way would be to pick the winning super-lottery numbers. But I think the real trick would be to get rich without attracting a lot of attention. Then you wouldn't have to worry so much about kidnappers, people begging, etc.

So I would pick a small lottery prize to win, say $25000. Then I would use that to open an option trading account at a discount brokerage. Option trading would give you the maximum income from your capital (if you really can see the future stock prices), and would be fairly private. You could lose on a few of your trades, just so the authorities would not think you were cheating somehow.

I saw a book yesterday (I should have bought it, probably) called "The Antiques of the Future." If I could see into the future, I'd go around to all the thrift stores and flea markets and garage sales and buy up those things that are going to be enough more valuable down the road to be worth their storage costs. I have a few dolls and a great many books that I hope fall into that category. Oh, and a few of my grandmother's dishes.

Maybe the purpose of the gift is to share, and rather than share to make pennies, share the lessons learned and the knowledge gained.
I call myself the penniless millionaire. It gave me a knowledge worth much more than any riches that lining the pocket could give, it filled my heart-the penniless millionaire :D
To foresee the future you are travelling time, I have travelled time with my past, and my present and it is those that I use to foresee my future. I created changes for my future because of my past that was affecting today.
I have seen my own future and a lot more, but not all is to share and no price is worth sharing all knowledge gained.

If you had the power to see the future, you would understand the vanity of seeking to become rich. For riches shall not save you from what is coming upon the earth, neither shall riches save your soul thereafter.
