my baby will be 4 months on 8/11. he wears 18 month out fits. at 2 months he weighed 16 lbs. cant wait 2 c his weight now!

It is just a big baby both of my boys are big boys my first was in the 105th percentile for weight and 95th for height. My 9 month old in wearing 2t tshirts and is in the 95 percentile height and weight 25 lbs. Their just genetically big babies. My older child slimmed down once he began walking and now they both wear the same size diapers 5. Just ask the pediatrician if the height and weight percentiles are close. That means he is correctly porportioned not too fat or too tall. Who wouldn't rather see a fat chubby baby than a skinny baby...I love my chubbie babies...

I wasn't sure if you were looking for other baby's weights, but my daughter was 12 pounds 9 ounces and 25 inches at 4 months and wearing 3 month clothes, however, my son, who is now 11 was also big like your baby and he is fine. Every baby is different and thank goodness he sounds like he is thriving!

My baby is 7 months and 24 pounds. He is huge.. I would say if your baby is in 18 month clothes already I would say he is between 22-23 pounds. Am I right....????

Both my boys were large, too. Not necessarily fat...just solid. :) They weren't that big though...at 4 months, they were wearing 9-12 months sizes. As long as your pediatrician isn't upset about it, then everything is fine. Sounds like you have a big, healthy boy. :)

just curious how long your big guy is??
I also have a big guy. He is not as big as yours but relatively big for his age group. He is about 16 lbs at 13 weeks and 24 in. long
Just remember not everyone is petite. Our whole family is tall and thick, not fat either. So good luck to you and yours!!!

talk to ur doctor but he sounds pretty healthly to me then again my first son was 9lb 2oz and my 2nd boy was 10lb 4oz both 23-24 inches long at birth. my 2nd boy is now 4 yrs.old and 48 lbs and in size 5-6 t. long as he eating good and being normal baby i wouldnt overly worry

If you're bothered about it, why not discuss it with your baby's pediatrician? Hne/She can advise whether it is time to control your baby's weight or not. For all you know, being overweight/obese during infancy may have negative effects as your baby grows up.

My 6 week old little girl is 12 pounds and my best friend little boy who is four months old is the same. i think all baby's are just different.

like you said - he is healthy and as long as you are both happy - great. He will begin to even out once he is crawling, walking, running, etc. Keep enjoying your beautiful baby!
