That is about as asinine as them keeping Pete Rose out of the hall of fame for lying about gambling. It doesn't take away the fact he is a great ball player.

Major league baseball only started considering steroids a banned substance about 2 years ago. Therefore, even if he was taking them, he wasn't breaking any league rules.
If you ban Barry, do you go back and erase every player who took steroids or who you suspect took steroids over the last 15 years. It's logistically impossible. Especially considering he has never tested positive.
So it's easy to stand on a soap box and act outraged, but you don't have a legal leg to stand on. Sorry.

The use of steroids has only been against the rules in baseball the past 3 seasons. So yes if it can be proven ANY ballplayer used AFTER baseball made them against the rules.
What about all of the pitchers, who now throw 98-100MPH, where the heck did that come from?

steroids doesn't help you make contact with the ball coming at you at 90 mph, might make you stronger but doesn't help your eye-hand cooridination
