I live in Atlanta Georgia. There are lots of things to do here but having been here all of my life I would like to try another city. I like south Florida, somewhere on the coast. What do you like or dislike about where you live?

I live just north of Jacksonville Florida on the St. Mary's River. [Fl - Ga line]
Close enough to Jax to comfortably visit and shop, but far enough away to have horses, and a very quite 40 acre farm on an old winding river. I grew up in Atlanta in the late 50's early 60's, went to high school at Chamblee High on Chamblee Dunwoody road. I know about the trolleys, the Paramount Theater next to Mr. Peanut the huge Coke sign, and Peachtree Street. I revisit Atlanta now and have to look hard to find sings that those old days ever existed.

I live on an island off the coast of Washington State, the evergreen state. (They paid me to type that.) It's beautiful here year round and by living on an island that can only be reached by bridge or ferry boat, we have less crime. The pace is slower here, more relaxed. No wonder people vacation in this area. There is just one thing I'd change about it if I had the ability. The winters are very grey. Too many days in a row without sunshine can bring you down. They want me to tell everyone it rains every day here....it comes close to that, but only in the winter.

I live in rural NC and I do like it but I have to say that I could find something to like about just about anywhere. I love big cities also. NY and Philly would be great places to live. The coast of California is great. But to answer your question, this place is great because it is quiet and green and tranquil. I love the smell of fresh cut hay, the singing of the birds in the morning and the feel of the grass under my feet. Also, it is within an hour drive of Charlotte which while not a huge city has much to do and see. It's just a great place to live.
