Here in New York if you are from another country and your laws are different, marijuana is illegal. My niece's friend had a party last night and was talking to her well known druggie boyfriend and gave him 30 dollars for marijuana, and were going to do it in the house when her parents went to bed. My niece left early because she was mad. My niece has helped this girl time and time again with her problems with friendship, cutting (self mutalation), depression from her biological mom leaving her, and even saved her from overdosing on pills by telling the guidance office at her school. What should she do, she told me this and told me she feels bad letting her do it because its wrong?

god... i think the best way for your niece to do is to ask for some professional help. it seems to me that her friend's in a really bad situation. why dont she ask help with their guidnace in school and do something about it? like bring the girl to a psychologist or something...

She shouldn't feel bad about doing what she thought of was best for her friend. She did what was right and it was to save her friend. Her friend should know that even though she has a lot of problems she should try to move on and make the better of her life. She should never take drugs because it will ruin her life especially her health. Your niece's friend is lucky to have someone as caring as your niece. Besides, she's never alone anymore because your niece will always be there to help her out.

Here in BC, Canada possesion of the drug marijuana is illegal too.Your niece needs to know that if she is with her friend when her friend is caught with a joint that "she will be going down"with her friend...I know this stresses u out...Your niece is taking on the caregiver role for her friend...I would get in touch with the girls parents [are they still in the picture] the mother should be notified of how her daughter is coping with her leaving her...if she knows then shame on the mom...

You should consult a psychiatrist and should also take her to a good counselor. Earlier the better. Also inform this to her parents.
