I am not complaining, simply curious. They have their own site (see bottom of page).

Try clicking on the links at the bottom, It changes the yahoo banner at the top but it is the same question pool for each site.

This question is on the "United States" site.

Simply because there is no UK site... There are different entrance page for various countries to the same database.

I am from the Netherlands, and get routed to the US frontpage, with the choice of watching all English language questions or just the US ones.

I am non-British and i use the site as i am from the republic of Ireland, therefore being non british.
It is called UK and Ireland remember. Not everyone in Ireland is British, remember that the next time you ask a question like this.

Because , this is the year 2006 and the world is at our fingertips.

I have never felt "a stranger", in any of the overseas sites myself
I really welcome all, .from whatever country , to use our sites here , just join in .

I love the idea ,of crossing the oceans and talking and exchanging views and ideas, with peoples from all over the world .

we can now !, so it is wonderful that people , can and do use the UK and Ireland sites

When we sign on to this we are connected to the world, and if we want only the USA we have to click that on the bottom of the screen. Sometimes I do if there are just too many people that cannot form an intelligent question...

Owlwings...since you have the answers, I know you know this one.....What language would you be speaking right now in the UK if the Americans (who don't have the answers) had kept out of the war in Europe and left you answer rich assholes to your own devices? Can you say Heil Hitler!

I go on all the english speaking sites. Its good to get an overviw of other nations ideas and way of life.

Evidently we in the US receive questions written in English from across the globe. This is a forum; why should a group be confined to one corner?

I went to to english site yesterday ... to ask a question ... and as soon as i clicked ask question ... it took me back to the american site!!!
Think that happened today with my NHS question too :-( Don't expect many intelligent nswers on that one as a result :-(
