Some men are insecure about themselves they crave attention and do as you say stupid things to get the attention they crave. I have to say that not all men are like that though, if your secure enough in yourself as a person you don't have to do stupid things to get attention, in fact giving others attention is more important.

We as men, have no fathers,as in the wild,to attract attention from the female. So we have to flaunt our stupidity, For the attention of a female. Think about this, next time your in a farm, have the farmer, pluck the fathers off a roster and shove him in a hen house, a see all those hens clock their heads off,when they see that naked roster..

No matter how old a man gets, he will always be a little boy deep inside, unfortunately that little boy creeps out from time to time.
If you will notice/remember on the play ground, the boys were always chasing each other around, causing havoc, screaming...
While the girls were swinging, playing hopscotch, sitting together talking...
