Tell yourself that maybe that person has issues with their own self-esteem and feel that putting down someone else will make them feel better about themselves. There is no truth to their comment.
I won't be one of those people that says, "we're all beautiful."
I have usually been told that I am pretty, attractive, etc but then I have had a few people tell me that I am ugly (plus other things) and because I have low self-esteem, that's what usually rings loudest and longest in my mind.
We have to keep telling ourselves that there is something wrong with the other person. Plus surround yourself with more encouraging people.

This is never an easy thing for most of us, but if you simply ignore the comment and move on with your life, you will be OK. Do not believe what you've been told. After all, you shouldn't believe everything you are ever told unless you've had proof that the words are true. There is more to beauty than what is on the outside, the person who said the words obviously does not have much inner beauty, so do NOT let those words affect you. Perhaps the person who said the words is having a bad day and would say anything to anybody (and you happened to be the one who got the short end of the stick), or perhaps the person is naturally grumpy and says all sorts of strange things.
Don't waste your time on people who say things like that. Nobody needs negative energy invading their personal space. You are the better person !! Good luck.

Just ignore the morons who need to boost their own self esteem by bashing other people's. If it really offends you to the point of not being able to ignore it, throw a punch. Not at the person, but at a nearby inanimate object.

I don't validate their remarks by letting them affect me. The fact that someone is bold enough to make negative comments on other people or their looks is proof that THEY have such low self-esteem, that they have to put others down in order to boost their self image... just ignore them and laugh at the fact that you aren't gonna let it bring you down to their level...

I am beautiful, in and out. No matter what anyone says you shouldn't take what they say personally. I know we all struggle at some point or another in life with self-esteem. I am struggling myself ...

I don't care what other people say about me, I just brush it off, they don't pay your bills right. My 4yr.old daughter helps motivate me when she says"Mommy your beautiful" just hearing that should help motivate anybody.
