I assume that you mean Lourdes, a place of pilgrimage in France for over 150 years?
The story goes that the Virgin Mary appeared to a peasant girl, Bernadette and told her that she would cause a spring of water to appear from the ground. This water has had countless reported cases of healing through the years and continues to be a place of pilgrimage. To the believer, no explanation is necessary, to the non believer, no explanation is possible.

There is a shrine, and a holy spring. People make pilgrimmages to Lourdes to visit it. On the other hand, I'm sure the people of Lourdes do not put their hopesw entirely in miracles and also visit local doctors like anyone else.

All health care professionals, doctors, pharmacists, nurses, para-medics and others are welcome in Lourdes. If they wish, they can help with the sick, either by accompanying them during their pilgrimage through their diocesan hospitality) or on site (through Hospitalité Notre-Dame de Lourdes). They are expected to make themselves known to the resident doctor of the Sanctuary in the Medical Bureau (2nd floor of the Accueil Jean-Paul II) and if they wish they can join the International Lourdes Medical Association (AMIL) and obtain its special badge.

AMIL has a membership of about 10,000 health care professionals from 75 countries. They receive a Bulletin three times per year which is published in 5 languages. The bulletin examines questions of the miraculous cures from a practical and theoretical perspective.

Lourdes isn't the only one place of that kind. But I think the doctor should be visited first. Its not right just waiting for the miracle.

They eat apples everyday
So they won't go to the doctor

They have the best doctor in the world in their own city
So, why would they get sick?
