Well.....

Roland, I think would be best played by Hugh Laurie (House MD). He's rugged looking and has those blue eyes.
Susannah, maybe Angela Basset. She can play the Detta and the Odetta parts. She can be nasty and refined.
Eddie, someone rather young...maybe Elijah Wood. He's kind of good looking, and after seeing him obsessed with the ring, I think he could pull off an addict pretty well.
For Jake, I'd have to think on that, mainly because I really don't know any child stars.
