There are two answers to this question. The first is only relevant if you could actually go faster then the speed of light. If so, then the light being emitted from your lights would not have time to shine in front of you, it would simply light up your headlights. The second answer nullifies your question, because it is impossible to go faster than the speed of light; therefore your lights would always shine ahead of you.

No, from your perspective, your headlights would still shine ahead at the speed of light. From an observer's perspectivethere would be no car or lights to see.

According to the theory of relativity you cannot travel faster than the speed of light, but if you were traveling near the speed of light and turned on your lights then the lights would turn on as normal and travel away from you normally at the speed of light......thats just weird.

NO. Light does not contain matter. There is nothing to pass. Light leaves the source at the speed of light. As you approach the SOL the beam will shorten to the point of origin. Thus, the light would still be on but it would not emit past the source.

no they wouldn't...Einstein said this many years ago and all good theorists agree that the speed of light is relative, therefore would always shine ahead of you.
