It's beautiful, and not crowded with people.
Go to the Florence, Oregon area, and the Sea Lion Caves, where you can actually see sea lions in their native wild environment, both out at sea and in the caves.
Stay in Yachats, cute rustic little town.

Washington, DC was fantastic. The monuments were amazing. The view from the Lincoln Monument onto the mall was absolutely breathtaking.

not sure what determines a "tourist location" but im assuming its a place with lots of people running around with camaras and shorts on. places i like to avoid. but anyway. id say yellowstone's old faithful, nyc's statue of liberty and the pier at santa monica.
