I've tried clearing my dns cache to remove any negative results and holding down shift during the connection attempt to bypass the cache but some sites always time out. I can get on a site very occassionally but then it times out the next time.
I'm using Firefox but IE doesn't help either.

This is what to do...
Purchas registry mechanic for your computer, come's in c.d,
you will find this in any good P.C shop.
You can also download fire wall.
Get the two and you won't have any prolem's with your computer.
Firewall is to stop hacker's and stop virus's from getting into your
P.C.Registry machanic will fix memory on you'r P.C and also fix
what problem's there is...Running slow or keep's staling,
regisrty mechanic the ultimite...

nearly everyone has it but i see your case is worse...well all i can say is check your security and or get someone to help you like a p.c shop acisstant

could be your connection. i have dsl, but had the same problem when i ran firefox.
firefox is not all they make it our to be.

heavyload on that sites or slow server
