It's lighter, brighter, and has a better stylus than the original, otherwise it's the same. Both DSes offer the following:
ARM9 and ARM7 processors
Touchscreen
Another screen
Microphone
Some great games!
Headphone and NDS Headset jacks
Rechargeble battery (The DS Lite uses a special one, the original uses the DS/SP Charger connector)

Same as the original DS but a much brighter screen, wifi connectivty No web browser yet, but hopefully by the end of the year, touch screen and much better games then a PSP
