No, not at all... they are the patient's relatives and they hhave the right to see a loved one in hospital. What I think is annoying is visitor times in the UK, my boyfriend was in hospital and I didn't want to leave his side, but I had to. Stupid NHS!

They can be especially of they stay too long. From a patient perspective I believe the most dangerous part of being in a hospital is being there with no one looking over you. This should be a friend or family member. That person is your mentor. They do things for you that you do no t feel like doing. They can communicate with the doctors and nurses for you and also decipher what the doctors and nurses are saying to you. Now that person ca never be annoying,

Annoying people are always annoying.
Hospitalized patients always have the option of requesting "No Visitors."
If a patient is sharing the room with another, then the patient should be careful and not have guests annoy the other patient.

Some are, and some are not. And I can bet that the ones who are annoying are the ones who are really stressed or angry about the fact that one of their family members is in the hospital, and they want to make sure that they receive the best care possible.

I shared a room with a woman whose entire clan showed up frequently. They were rude and loud and didn't respect my privacy at all. Yes.. it's annoying if they have no manners !

They are just like people everywhere...they come in all varieties. Keep in mind that you are seeing them in stressful circumstances and they aren't always themselves. It requires more patience sometimes (forgive the pun).
