Cowboys...
I once was smitten with cowboys. I loved the hats, the tight butt jeans, the walk, the slow drawl, being called "darlin'", hearing about all the exciting places he had been while traveling from rodeo to rodeo, and the way he worked a crowd...very charismatic.
And then I married Andy, Mr.PBR himself and discovered; he rode bulls for 8 seconds...maybe..then drank and slept around the rest of the time. After each rodeo the local bar or largest barn throws a "shin dig," complete with "buckle bunnies" and lots of liquor. Which means that he would drive for hours/days to get to a rodeo, rope up, ride for no time at all, then spend the rest of the time drinking and horroring.
The hat was untouchable, it was bad luck to touch the hat, even as his wife I had to call him into the room to move his hat. The boots tracked in mud. The jeans were always on the floor. Beer as always in the fridge. And by the time he was ready to get married he was already over sexed and wasn't that interested in it very often.
Women who love cowboys are more charmed with the idea of the cowboy, the image..trust me the reality is so much different. You just don't know him yet.

Cowboys are sexy and I'm well educated. So there to all of you who wrote insulting answers. Rodeo, horsemanship and raising cattle are part of my family heritage. It's a living like any other. In Montana and other states, cowboys still round up the cattle the same way. Only now they tie up the traffic of major highways sometimes getting all the doggies into one location.
