Teachers are not out to cheat anyone. I will be paying back student loans for the next 15 years, I spend 70 hours a week working on preparing to make learning as meaningful and individually appropriate for each of my students as if he/she were my only student and I spend all summer back at school making sure that I'm up to date on all my teaching and ready for the year ahead. Why is everyone out to critique teachers on Answers? I work so hard and don't care that I could be climbing the corporate ladder instead b/c I feel like I"m making a difference and then get on here and get insulted and told I'm out to steal money and ruin the lives of children. It's frustrating and untrue.

Not weird at all, they cheat the tax payers out of money and they cheat their students out of an education. Public school teachers are overpaid whinning cry babies...doing a part time job and getting unheard of in the private sector full time pay and benefits.
