Should I still go to work and school knowing I'll appear as an emotional wreck and snap at almost everyone? Or stay home. What do you do?

BTW: I only started getting mood swings a few months ago, so I am new to this.

I usually take out my frustrations and have mood swings around those I love like my husband, mom, etc. Try to not do it at work and school by staying positively distracted. If someone bothers you, try to jot a note down and when you're more rational rethink the situation and see if it's worth handling or mentioning to a superior.

vitamin b12 helps a lot of women but its not for everyone. Give it a month and you will know if it will work for you. Evening primrose oil has a good reputation in this area plus its good for your skin but do not take it if you are pregnant or lactating. Go and do your daily stuff but try not to talk to anyone unless you can't avoid it. If you have a mood swing just say you're really tired and stressed out.

You need to get your crazy a$$ on some medication if you can't handle it any better than that. You don't get to stay home from work and school cause you have PMS, can you seriously see a boss saying.....sure I'll hire you and you can have 5 sick days each month when you're too b*tchy to work? I don't think so!

Talk to your doctor or gynocologist and see what they can offer.....I hear evening of primrose tea is supposed to be helpful but I don't know first hand.

You can't stop your life and this is coming from someone who has extreamly bad mentral pains and gets really bitchy. When you can use hot packs and pain killers for the pain. When it comes to the emotional part of it, tell your boss you're not feeling the best and ask for lighter assignments and let them know you may have to take a time out. I had a male boss who wouldn't listen to my concerns during my time of the month and that's when I let him know how bitchy (can't remember the word I used but it wasn't that) I could get and if he didn't repect my situation I'd take him to head office about my concerns. He let me work at my own pace after that.

You have to go to school and work, you can't miss it every month. Just be very conscious of your mood swings and try and keep them under control...

Luckily I don't have mood swings, but I do have the worst pain I have EVER felt in my back.

Go to school lol. I have had breakdowns in the middle of class while having a mood swing. I also have started my fair share of fights. Its just something you have to learn to deal with.

Go to work and school. If you mess up, just calm down. Then, go apologize and explain that you are having a bad day. People are usually very open to apologies.

Still go where you need to go. Calm down before you say something that you may regret.
