My husband, myself and our 2 kids (3 and 1) want to leave California and relocate to a different state. We've been doing minor research on Arizona and Wyoming. Colorado is out of the question as is anything east of Salt Lake City and north of Bend, Or.
We are interested in a medium/small sized city only. No more than 25,000 hopefully no more than 15,000 people.
There has to be jobs within a commute time of 45 min (one way).
Husband perfers weed wash crew (fire), welding, or laborer(not **** work!!) I perfer Sheriff's office work or office mid management.
We need good peschool/elementary school, and day care.
If your city is cool tell me all about it, please please please we're going crazy!!
(too cold weather is unpreferable!)

Wow... I think I live in the perfect city for you!
Anthem, Arizona is about 20 minutes north of Phoenix and has amazing amenities for families (including a community water park). There are only about 12,000 homes here and major business employers not far away. Deer Valley School District is one of the top-rated districts in the state, and the elementary schools here scored very, very high on their No Child Left Behind standards. (My husband is a real estate agent, so I can probably get statistics for you on specific topics if you like.)
