I cannot find exactly where it is located. I know that it is near munich, but i do not have a street address, or even a general area, other than in Munich.

Actually it's not that close to Munich. It's close to a town called "Kempten" and another called "Fu:ssen" (That's u with an Umlaut). If you want to stay overnight, you should look for a B&B in either of those towns or in an even closer is a town called "Schwangau". I used to tourguide for American tourists ages ago, so I'd recommend that you get there first thing in the morning. You can either walk up the hill (brace yourself, it's a long way up) or you can ride in a horse-drawn wagon.

Below are some links with rough maps to give you an idea.

The area is just gorgeous and you might like to visit some other places in the vicinity like Oberammergau, the Ettal Monastery, the Zugspitze, etc.

have you ever tried to punch in Neuschwanstein into a search engine, its worth a try - believe me.

other than that I would guess there is not a real street address for the castle itself.
But the general area would be the alps (Ostallgaeu) /the "Schwangauer Flure".
