Absolutely. I have not smoked since 85 but I do remember the ease of pain during a woman's cycle and many other benefits that it has helped. However, downsides, it can cause memory problems as well as polluting your lungs. If you don't grow it yourself, you have no idea what chemicals it is sprayed with that can harm you, and cause cancer. It is not organic, like it used to be. Folks with cancer, who has lost their appetite due to Chemo treatments has been able to eat again as well as Aids patients and many more sufferers. One more thing, there are some folks that have violent tendencies and smoking it can relax these people and put them in better moods without taking anti depressants and or other medications. It surely is a safer thing than alcohol to relax with. The government makes a big stink about it because it is all about taxes. If the Gov can't profit from it, they make it illegal.( they can't regulate it yet.) Also this stupid belief that it will lead folks onto hard drugs, that is ridicules. It also helps insomniac sufferers sleep and wake up without any side effects, like pills. However, remember the downsides.

Yes, but at this time the medicinal value is very limited.

The one area where it is well established is in the area of palliative care medicine. Marijuana is good for giving an appetite to end stage cancer sufferers who have lost their appetite through cancer or chemotherapy. Essentially, it gives them the "munchies" and here it serves a potentially useful purpose.

If it can relieve a person's suffering in any way, especially if they have a terminal condition, then absolutely.

I do believe it has medicinal value when used for glaucoma patients, and in pain relief for cancer patients as well.

I also believe it should be made legally available to patients nationwide. No one should have to suffer if there is something, such as marijuana, that could relieve their pain.
