Empathize? Has your country been devastated by a foreign force? I don't get how you are able to empathize.

Certainly not. You will not be a terrorist untill you plan, or execute, a terrorist act. You can have any opinion you like. Once you take action, you have crossed the line.

Besides, you said "the Lebonese people". They are (mostly) just citizens stuck in the middle of a bad situation.

You could even empathize with Hezbollah, so long as you take no overt action to assist their terroristic actions. Empathy and sympathy are good things, they help us understand each other.

No I think most people do. I am sure the majority were living happy in the position with Israel. It was Hezbollah who caused the problem. Syria wants a hold on Palestine with its mates Iran backing them they set it in motion. Lets be honest as always the civilians are suffering so stick up for them as much as you like I agree with you.

understanding and empathizing are things the western world doesnt like to do to the arab world.

The whole of the arab/israeli/iraq/US thing annoys me because it is all built on preconceived hatred and uncaring leaders.

Beirut was a lovely place until last week.
