I'm affordable and have lots of free time. I have a 9-5 that doesn't take too much effort and allows me a lot of free time to do whatever I choose. Looking to exercise my brain and let all my ideas become creations.

Many companies have their own designers but there are as many who will take conceptions from the freelance designer (inventor, always address yourself as a designer, you'll be taken more seriously).
You will need to do your research, firstly on how original your idea is because you don't want to get dragged to court for infringement. Check out patents and copyrights when you wish to submit one of your ideas to a company.
If you have done your research and you aren't wasting your time with somebody elses conception or one that isn't worth getting to market because of cost, then you will want to seek companies that sell similar ideas to yours. Firstly ring them up, or write and enquire if they take submissions from the freelance designer. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING WITHOUT A SIGNATURE FIRST
Confidential disclosure Agreements, (contract) is best. Send them two and they return one signed, then send your idea.
Boy, far too much to say in here so shall give you a link for a site where you'll get some tips.
Good luck!

The links page is the most valuable in there followed by the inventor promotors, read through for some good advice.

Depends on the "product" or services you're selling. Find out which companies might need your ideas and offer it to them as a consultant. Better yet, make a website for yourself and launch it. Who knows you might just land a better deal than the 9-5 thing you have going right now.

note your ideas, put them into biz formats and document the hell out of them to prevent theft. use companies like inventech etc to develope, market and patent your ideas. better you work independently then for a firm
