This is definately one of my favorite albums of all time, its beautiful all the way through and each song melts into the other. My Bloody Valentine is very underatted yet they inspired and influenced a number of musicians and music scenes. I never grow tired of listening to this unique masterpiece.

Ryan H... how do they sound like any of the "new" crappy bands of today?!

They've been around since 1984... which, in my opinion, produced music which sounds *nothing* like the "music" out today.

To answer the question... I have adored this band for years. The first song I ever experienced was on a mix tape my cousin made for me. It was "Never Say Goodbye", and I was mesmerized by the sound of Kevin's voice. It was *so* much different than the pop-junk played on the radio. I was immediately hooked!

I agree that they inspired many bands throughout the years. You can hear their sound in so many of the underground bands that came out of the early nineties.

Ryan H: "I think they suck and sound just like all of the other crappy "new" bands out there right now."

^What is this kid even talking about? Does he actually know who My Bloody Valentine is? I can't name a single band today as cool as these guys were.

I agree, though, "Loveless" is just amazing. I've only been a MBV fan for about a year. "Loveless" was in fact the first album of theirs I heard. Their unique, dreamy sound has made me fall in love with the whole shoegaze genre. I was lucky enough to find the "Complete Bloody Rarities" which includes so many gems. Overall, MBV is one of my favorite bands. I wish I had known about them years ago, though.
